Conservation Workshops

In conjunction with To Have and To Hold, the museum’s Conservator Sue Valis is hosting a number of Conservation Workshops on selected weekends and weekdays. Each two-hour workshop will focus on one topic, teaching people either the best way to store their collections, protect them from mould and pests, prepare and manage them during cyclone season or the best display methods for different objects.

Bookings are essential and cost $25 for each workshop. Phone (07) 4726 0600. As a special bonus, anyone who books and pays to attend a conservation workshop will receive a complimentary light lunch at the museum cafe as part of the Collexpo on Saturday 29 September 2012.
