Come face to face with some of North Queensland's most dangerous animals in this deadly school holiday program.

Things to do ALL day, every day


SuperCroc
Come meet SuperCroc! He’s 110 million years old, 11 metres long and ate dinosaurs for breakfast.

SuperCroc is an Australian Museum travelling exhibition and was donated to them by the National Geographic Channel.

Dangerous Australians – venomous insects and spiders
Take a tour around the live bug houses and learn about some of the things that bite and sting in North Queensland. There will be giant spiders, scorpions and centipedes plus more!

“Little Snappers” play pen
Just for the little ones – creep and crawl your way through our special play area.

Make and take craft – all ages
Make a wobbly croc ($10), SWAMP cartoon colouring-in, spiral snake, peg crocodile or incey-wincey spider.

Things that bite and sting
Follow the trail through our galleries to discover some of the things that bite and sting in North Queensland.

Tales from a Croc Trapper

Join Brent Vincent as he talks about his work trapping crocs in the 1970s with Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service. A great talk for all ages.

Make a mozzie badge or model mozzie and find out how the Eliminate Dengue Research Program is progressing in Townsville. Discover all about dengue mozzies!
