Humanoid Discovery

Discover how different body systems and organs function; from breathing to digestion, skin and hair, even how your brain works. Explore common misconceptions about the body, investigate the different layers within the skin, look at how long your intestines are and how food is digested, as well as look into the complex world of the respiratory system.
Created by the renowned Scitech in Perth, Australia, Humanoid Discovery presents the human as a study object. Each of the 25 exhibits presents one or more bodily functions, explaining the physiology and science and providing facts, figures and intriguing information that will present the body in a whole new light.
The exhibition has been specifically designed for a target age range of 5 – 12 years old, although there are experiences contained within that will delight visitors from 1 – 100 years old.

Exhibits Include:

  • Skin Deep - peel back the layers of skin to discover what really lies beneath the body's largest organ
  • Have You Got The Guts? - find out how long your intestines by dragging them from a human 'body'
  • Pull My Finger - test to see what lethal food and drink combinations will deliver the most impressive farts
  • Aim High - how high can you jump? Challenge your muscles to work together to help you jump, squat, push, pull and so much more.
  • Bed of Nails - test you nerves as over 2,000 nails deliver a spine-tingling experience!

Humanoid Discovery is a great exhition for school excursions and has excellent teacher resources.
