Visitors can use state of the art technology to discover significant rock and mineral deposits of North Queensland from inside a virtual space station.

The Rock Rangers Space Lab encompasses:

  • A futuristic display, illustrating real cutting-edge science that is being completed by North Queensland geologists and the mining industry today
  • Interactive multi-media screens depicting land-satellite images to search for and identify rocks and mineral deposits in North Queensland
  • An impressive display of rocks and minerals from the North Queensland region.

The Rock Rangers Space Lab was funded by the North Queensland Branch of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AusIMM).
