To mark the launch of the new scientific photography display Grand Designs in Miniature: The Bryozoa, Dr Kevin Tilbrook the Museum’s BHP Billiton – CReefs Fellow will give a free public talk on Tuesday 15 November at 12pm.

Dr Tilbrook is an internationally recognised authority on the Bryozoa, with particular expertise in the Bryozoa of southwest Pacific coral reefs. The Bryozoa are a group of sessile, filter-feeding, colonial animals found in all seas at all depths and are more commonly known as moss animals or lace corals.

This small ankylosaurian dinosaur takes its name from the site where its fossilised remains were first discovered near the Minmi Crossing, near Roma in Queensland. Minmi was a plant eating dinosaur which had bony protrusions covering its head, back, abdomen, legs and tail.

Grace – the Exhibition was developed by North Queensland’s contemporary dance company Dancenorth and the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys, and featured side by side images of rugby league action shots imitated by dancers.
