Enchanted Rainforest
Enchanted Rainforest is locally focused and inspired by the Paluma Rainforest in North Queensland. Built around an awe-inspiring recreation of a fig tree, the exhibition's interactive displays teach visitors about the flora and fauna of a rainforest environment. It also includes information about the Indigenous land use of the forest and describes its special meaning to Indigenous peoples.

Great Railway Journeys of Australia
Great Railway Journeys of Australia explores the development of Australia's rail network and some of the most famous railway journeys.
Developed by The Workshops Rail Museum, the exhibition draws on the Museum's collection of objects, photographs and posters.
Free after price of admission. MTQ is free for residents of Townsville, Burdekin, Charters Towers and Hinchinbrook, thanks to the support of these councils.
