Running out the Gun
Running out the Gun

It was an exceeding dark, stormy night; and the gloomy horrors of death presented us all round, being everywhere encompassed with rocks, shoals and broken water.

From 'A Voyage Round the World in His Majesty’s Frigate Pandora' by George Hamilton

The Great Gallery features the life-size replica of the bow of HMS Pandora – an imposing structure that is the centrepiece of the Museum.

With its sweeping floor to ceiling windows, the Great Gallery overlooks the Ross Marina and city skyline and is a beautiful location to relax either before or after exploring the Museum.

The galley@pandora café is located within the Great Gallery, open 11am-3pm 7 days a week.

Load and fire a cannon just the way they did in the 1700s. This activity is run at 11am and 2.30pm daily (Suitable for anyone over 8 years of age. Closed in shoes are required).

Participate in daily tours, talks and events!
